Sunday 19th March 2006 - Saint Patricks Parade, Crawley
Crawley will host the 3rd Annual Saint Patrick's Parade on Sunday 19
March 2006. It is organised by the Celtic and Irish Cultural Society in
association with Crawley Borough Council and Sussex Police.
The Crawley Saint Patrick's Parade is part of Crawley's 2006
festivities.
Parade Route
>
Start at Crawley Bus station from 1pm
> Into Haslett Ave West
> Up Station Road
> Left into Station Way
> Left into Southgate
Avenue onto College Road via County Mall corner
> Left into The
Boulevard -
terminating at the bottom end of High
Street.
The parade leaders, bands and marchers enter the High Street here while
the cars and floats etc break off at this point and carry on out to
Peglar Way and the smaller ones carry round and enter into High Street
from the other end.
The route will involve
some temporary road closures.
High Street
The focal point at the High Street will allow the marching pipe bands,
musicians and Irish dancers to bring the day to an exiting climax for
about two hours from 2pm. You can also take this time to sample a pint
of the black stuff in the local pubs.
