TOURISM IRELAND SUPPORT CICS ACTIVITIES

TOURISM IRELAND, the organisation responsible for promoting tourism in the island of Ireland, has agreed to fund some operational costs of the Celtic and Irish Cultural Society over an initial one-year period in support of its role in the community.

Bob Martin, chairman of the CICS commented:

“The Celtic and Irish Cultural Society is delighted to welcome Tourism Ireland as a main supporter. Both Tourism Ireland and the CICS share the same goals: to promote Ireland and its people. The committee appreciates the importance of the agreement because it demonstrates that the role of the Society has been recognised as providing a positive contribution to the image of Ireland in the southeast of England.”

As part of the deal, the Celtic and Irish Cultural Society will distribute material promoting travel to Ireland at CICS events, beginning at the Crawley Irish Festival 2005.
