Crawley Irish Festival 2020 – CANCELLED

We regret to announce that this year’s Crawley Irish Festival scheduled to take place at the Hawth Theatre has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

We’ve been monitoring this unprecedented situation carefully and were hopeful that by the end of August all would be okay to deliver the 25th Annual event but it has now become clear this year’s festival cannot go ahead.

We were expecting more positive news this evening (9th July) from Oliver Dowden the Culture Secretary at the Number 10 Press briefing and although Leisure facilities and beauty services in England will be allowed to reopen, mass participation events such as festivals are still banned

It is with a heavy heart we’ve made this decision but it’s the only safe option to take.

Alot of work had been put into making our 25th Annual event a ‘special’ one but the safety and welfare of our patrons and performers as always comes first.

We’re already counting down the days to next year’s August Bank holiday weekend and promise that Crawley Irish Festival 2021 will be worth the wait.

Take care and stay safe.
