CICS RECEIVES LOCAL GOVERNMENT GRANTS

West Sussex County Council and Crawley Borough Council will part fund the Celtic and Irish Cultural Society’s events during 2006.

It is the first year that the Celtic and Irish Cultural Society have received direct funding from local government bodies and the Society will use the funds to expand and strengthen our events.

West Sussex County Council are providing a grant to extend the provisions of the Crawley Irish Festival. The additional funding will be used to provide events of interest to our younger visitors. Exciting youth theatre and children’s workshops are under development for the Crawley Irish Festival in August so it’s a chance for everyone to get involved.

Crawley Borough Council have agreed to fund some of the costs of the Saint Patrick’s Festivities. As a result, additional funding will be available to fund the Crawley Irish Festival and Fleadh, later in the year.

The CICS welcomes the contributions of West Sussex County Council and Crawley Borough Council.
