The Crawley Irish Festival provides entertainment for the whole family! Kids are catered for at the Free Children’s Entertainment Tent whilst stalls offer various goods of Irish origin and beyond.

Free Children’s Entertainment Tent
Children’s entertainment features Circus Workshops, Magic Shows, Balloon Creations, Children’s Theatre and Celtic Storytelling.
WACKY THE WIZARD
Wacky the Wizard is a fully costumed magic and puppet show designed for lovers of ‘Harry Potter’ featuring featuring bright entertainment, colourful magic, puppets and balloons. The show is fast and funny with the emphasis on wizard style magic. Children will delight in joining in and ‘making the magic work’.
The show is ideal for children from 4 - 9 years. There will be two 30-40 minute scheduled slots plus magic walkabouts.
IRISH STORYTELLING
Ireland has some of the most fantastic and mythical tales ever created. The stories will excite and entrance listeners with traditional folk stories of fairies and leprechauns. These stories, were passed down in the oratory tradition long before the written word was developed.
Maire Aine will be presenting two 30 minute slots for children up to 11 years.
SHOOTING STARS CIRCUS SKILLS
The workshop includes juggling balls, rings, clubs, scarves, spinning plates, ball-cups, spinning balls, diabolos, flower sticks, hat manipulation, rola-bola, stilts, fun wheels, pedal racers, unicycles, mini-bikes, tightrope and lots more.
The workshop will be presented by the on-site circus instructor and can be varied according to age groups. There will be several shows presented during the afternoon.
PHIL HAZE’s FUN THEATRE
Tradional Punch and Judy shows and balloon modelling. Phil will be presenting three 20-25 minute shows for children of all ages.
Stalls

Many stalls feature at the Crawley Irish Festival provided by county associations, dance groups and businesses specialising in Irish and community products and services. Get a county GAA shirt, Celtic pottery, CDs, Club Orange, Cidona, Calvita - everything that seems so hard to find in England, in fact.
Licensed Bar / Big Screen GAA / Food Stops

There are a number of bars and food stalls serving a variety of alcoholic and soft drinks as well as burgers, floss and all the usual family favourites!
Live All-Ireland Gaelic Football will also be televised on the big screen close to the bars.
Fun Fair

There’s an opportunity to engage in fairground activities and get interactive at the many stalls on offer. The fun fair is provided independently of the festival organisers and the Celtic and Irish Cultural Society are not responsible for the cost of rides or running of activities.
Charges do apply for some of the activities so to make it easier on the pocket: Children get free entry!
