Crawley Irish Festival 2019
Crawley Irish Festival, the only Irish Summer Festival in the South East of Britain, taking place on Bank Holiday Sunday 25 August 2019 from 12pm noon: showcasing some great Irish entertainment, music, sport and dance and much more.
Attracting over 6,000 people, it’s recognised as a high profile Irish Festival here in the UK: featuring a number of arts workshops, Irish Dancing Demonstrations, three music stages featuring traditional and modern Irish music, GAA sport, children’s entertainment, educational areas, craft stalls and shops selling traditional Irish produce and arts & crafts.
We also have a contingency plan in case it rains!!!!

WHAT’S ON OFFER?
Live Music: The Music will showcase some of the biggest Irish acts from Britain and Ireland. Whilst the Trad Stage features the best traditional and folk acts from throughout the UK and Ireland.
John McNicholl over from Derry heads a list of International entertainers and top billing acts. 15 bands in total play traditional to contemporary to easy listing in three different areas.

7 Hour Music Session in the Lobby
- Multiple bands will perform – together with acts from across the festival – each providing 15-20 minute sessions throughout the day.
Live Dance: Irish Dance displays have always been popular at the festivals and the Open Dance Competition attracts competitors from all over the the world at the Irish Dance Stage.
Ceili Dancing Arena is always a focal point where newcomers are always welcome to join in. Watch out for the future members of Riverdance with dancing displays by local dance schools.

Live Sport: GAA Sport also has an important role to play with live action being played out on the big screen right in the heart of Crawley.
Due to the papal visit to Ireland, there is no GAA scheduled for this weekend so we are unable to show any sport on the BIG SCREEN.
Children’s Entertainment: Running till 5.00 Children The younger element are well catered for in the J DEVINE CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINMENT ARENA with particular emphasis on traditions and folklore workshops, kids drama corner, magic tricks and song and storytelling.
All-Round Family Fun: Families and children will be well catered for with stalls and an amusement area for all-round family fun.
Children are catered for in the festival play area, a fair, football, art, songs and storytelling with particular emphasis on Irish traditions and folklore.

All proceeds from the Crawley Irish Festival are invested in community projects to assist in the promotion of Celtic and Irish cultural activities in and around Crawley.
