The Emerald Sports and Social Club, or the Emerald Club as it is more commonly known, is a vibrant meeting place for the Irish community in Crawley and surrounding area. In addition, the club is home to St. Francis RFC: all rugby club members are automatically members of the Emerald Sports and Social Club.

The Emerald Sports and Social Club was formed in 1998 when the Crawley Irish Centre and Saint Francis Rugby Club joined forces to form the club. The club offers many varieties of activities and events throughout.

The Emerald Club is strongly involved in organising events throughout Crawley and its grounds host the annual Crawley Irish Festivals.

The club is located close to the town centre on Southgate Avenue at Southgate Playing Fields. New members are always made welcome at the club and participation is actively encouraged.
