Yes our biggest event of the year

Crawley Irish Festival 2009 website

The Crawley Irish Festival is scheduled for Sunday 30th August 2009 (12pm – 7pm)

Now in it’s 14th year it never fails to impress. It attracts up to seven thousand visitors to the town from throughout Crawley and the South East of England for the one day event and has built a reputation as a great family day out. The event showcases some of the best musical talent from Britain and Ireland on three live entertainment stages, with traditional, ballad, country and modern music played out in addition to the Irish dance stage and Ceili marquee.

This year we are focusing heavily on the younger element of the community with a special children’s entertainment marquee involving games, songs and stories, with particular emphasis on Irish traditions and folklore.

Sports and cultural identity are each featured prominently with GAA sports, a funfair, workshops, food and craft stalls and displays, with the added attraction of a licensed beer tent with Gaelic sports shown on the big TV screen.

It’s a great day out for all the family – so come to Southgate Playing Fields in Central Crawley and enjoy the craic!

Entry: £5 (discounts £2).  Children: £1. Parking free
