The Celtic and Irish Cultural Society requires an enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly organised individual to manage administration, promote the Society and support the committee in the development of cultural events.

The Society promotes Irish and Celtic culture throughout the year, focussed in and around Crawley, West Sussex. Larger events include the Crawley Irish Festival and Celtic Weekend, Saint Patrick’s Festivities and November Fleadh. The CICS also fund Irish language classes and organise a number of other smaller projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The post will be the main contact for the society; will implement relevant policies; negotiate costs with suppliers and strengthen the role of the Society.

Working from home, the candidate should have excellent administrative, ICT and communication skills. Knowledge of WP, spreadsheet and databases is essential and knowledge of website design an advantage. The ability to work flexible hours, as required, is essential.

SALARY:
£10,000 per year (16 hours per week) [£24,000 pro rata]

The post is initially funded for 12 months by the Irish government Dion Fund, renewable subject to review.
