The Celtic and Irish Cultural Society is pleased to announce that details of main sponsorship for the Crawley Irish Festival have been confirmed. Existing event sponsors have continued their support for the Crawley Irish Festival whilst new sponsors have also joined the Celtic and Irish Cultural Society in support of the Festival.
CAPPAGH GROUP will title sponsor the main stage. The CAPPAGH STAGE will feature modern country and traditional music on a new professionally lit stage.
The CLARION GATWICK HOTEL is a new sponsor of the Crawley Irish Festival and will sponsor the traditional stage. The CLARION STAGE features a fantastic mix of traditional Irish music with a mix of traditional instruments and songs.
FOUNDATION DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED is one of the Celtic and Irish Cultural Society’s earliest supporters and will sponsor the FDL DANCE STAGE. In addition to an Open Dance Competition, the stage will also house Irish dance displays throughout the afternoon. We have moved the Irish Dance displays so that we can add additional traditional acts to the Clarion Stage.
ACCURATE DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED will sponsor the GAA games at the Festival and title sponsor the ACCURATE GAA ARENA. Each year we have welcomed sports never before played in Crawley – we hope to welcome yet another first this year.
COINFORD CONSTRUCTION and NUGENT GROUP support the COINFORD CEILI MARQUEE and LFN TUG o’ WAR respectively. The CICS was also received support from Crawley Borough Council and West Sussex County Council.
Sponsorship for the Celtic Rock in the Park concert is still available, as is programme advertising. Please contact David Nolan on 07740358221 for more information.

The Celtic and Irish Cultural Society has received a significant grant from the Irish Government Dion Fund. The grant will assist in the expansion of CICS events and help to support additional activities such as Irish Language classes, workshops and providing GAA sports coaching to local schools.
Irish Foreign Minister Dermot Ahern announced that 142 Irish groups in the UK, including the Celtic and Irish Cultural Society, would receive over £6million to assist their projects. Traditionally the grant allocations have been provided as contributions to the salaries of front-line advice workers who provide assistance and information on employment, benefit entitlements and housing and accommodation. But the last two years has seen a number of cultural and capital projects benefit as well.
